The
J. Mack Robinson College of Business launched its Health
Informatics Programs in 2007 with Bachelors, Masters and
MBA offerings. Research, education, and seminars are
designed and conducted by Faculty across the Health
Administration and Computer Information Systems
Departments.
Our
Health Informatics Forum at Robinson
invites you to attend its 3rd semi-annual educational
seminar on emerging and current Health Informatics
issues. This event presents an opportunity to network
with faculty, students, alumni and industry experts.
The seminar takes place
Wednesday February
25th 3:00-4:30PM
in
the Brown Room 18th floor at the Commerce Club,
Broad Street, Atlanta.
The speaker will
be
Paula Edwards, PhD,
Healthcare Informatics Consultant, HIMformatics, LLC
Dr.
Paula Edwards works with healthcare delivery
organizations to help maximize the value of information
technology investments. With a PhD in industrial
engineering, her work focuses on the use of
human-integrated systems methods and information
technology to improve quality, efficiency, and safety in
healthcare. She has fifteen years of experience in
design and implementation of software applications to
improve operations in a variety of industries, including
healthcare. She is co-author of 12 journal articles and
book chapters and has presented at numerous industry
conferences.
Dr.
Paula Edwards will present and lead discussions related
to
“Designing
Useful Clinical Information Systems: The Challenges
Ahead”
Light refreshments will be
served and there will be good opportunities to meet
other people interested in Health Informatics.
