Deslie:
Deslie Quinby, VP of Weather.com and Marketing for The weather
channel is accountable for
weather.com
and ensuring its continued leadership position. She is
responsibilities for business partnerships, strategy, next
generation initiatives, and new product development
focusing on customer experience. Key areas of strategic
growth that Deslie is responsible for include, but are not
limited to interactive mapping, community and video
efforts. Interactive properties include
weather.com,
mobile, desktop and newly emerging broadband and travel
businesses.
Deslie comes to The Weather Channel from Choicepoint (CPS) where
she was Vice President of their Consumer Initiatives and
responsible for ChoiceTrust.com. Products included
physician reports, background screening on home help,
access to personal employment information, insurance
information and vital records. Prior to ChoicePoint,
Deslie was Founder and CEO of eGulliver travel start-up
that matched consumers with travel specialists so that if
someone wanted to travel to Brazil, they were working with
a specialist that had been to Brazil. Deslie got her
passion for travel industry while she was CIO of Carlson
Leisure Group in Minn, MN. There she was integral in
launch of Carlson internet and intranets for leisure group
and for franchised travel agencies. She initiated a CRM
project to allow for direct marketing efforts and call
center systems that were based on computer telephony
rather than standard telephony switching. Deslie also
managed GDS relationships and migrated the majority of
Carlson agencies to a single GDS partner. Prior to
Carlson Leisure, Deslie was at Gemini Consultant, where
she was a senior level management consultant addressing
various business issues depending on client need. Deslie
started her career as an electrical engineer at
Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Baltimore, MD
Deslie graduated from MIT Sloan School of management with an MBA.
She was honored at Graduation by receiving the Henri Ford
II scholarship. She graduated from GWU with her MSEE.
Undergraduate she attended University of Florida and
graduated with a BSEE. Deslie and her husband reside in
ATL and have 2 sons.

AJ Noel joined Accenture Technology Services as an Infrastructure Consulting Sales Director where he sold into Grow America Accounts and foundational accounts.. Noel later took on a role as a CHT & AT&T Sales Director. As of November 2007, he has been asked to help grow Accenture’s Application (AR) Renewal practice cross OU with a focus on generating growth within AR’s Re-platforming offering. Prior to joining Accenture, Noel was instrumental in launching IBM’s click as you pay initiative while pursing his studies full time in college. Noel started his first job at IBM Global Services as a Distribution and Public ITS Sales Specialist and then was promoted to a Public Sector Client Executive.
Noel graduated from Georgia State University with a BA in Computer Information Systems and resides in Alpharetta, GA. |

About Ms.
Jennifer Smith:
Jennifer Smith is Director of the Global Resource
Office for TRX, a global technology company that develops
hosted applications to process complex data records and
automate manual processes, enabling companies to optimize
performance and control costs.
Jennifer
joined TRX in January 2002 as Manager of Financial Reporting,
leading the implementation of a financial reporting system.
She then moved to the Office of the COO as Director, Global
Operations, where she supported a variety of strategic
projects from brokering potential acquisitions to driving the
growth of TRX's offshore operations.
In her
current role as Director of the Global Resource Office,
Jennifer is the liaison between onshore and offshore
operations, coordinating development projects and managing the
relationships with all offshore vendors. Most recently, her
team completed two major milestones: leading the migration
for the TRX delivery center located in Bangalore from a
partner to a TRX-owned entity and facility; and completing the
development of a new product offering for TRX, the first
performed entirely offshore.
Prior to
TRX, Jennifer worked as Operations Manager at iXL where she
was focused on clients in the Travel & Transportation industry
vertical. She started her career in public accounting as an
auditor with Arthur Andersen. Her clients included those in
the non-profit, healthcare, and technology sectors.
Jennifer
holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Auburn
University. She is a Certified Public Accountant on Inactive
status.

Health Informatics Kick-off at Robinson!
A comprehensive Health Informatics initiative was launched
summer 2007 at J Mack Robinson College of Business. In terms of
education, the initiative includes Bachelor, Masters, and MBA
offerings. In terms of research, the initiative involves faculty
across Health Administration and Computer Information Systems.
To kick-off this initiative, we invite students, alumni, and
faculty to an exciting evening with the following program:
