COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course
addresses the many management issues unique to the information services
function within organizations. Coverage includes information systems
planning, managing the information infrastructure, justifying
information technology investments, the costing of services and
networks, evaluating information system performance, alternative
information service delivery modes, managing distributed and end-user
computing, project and operations management, systems security, and the
management of information technology professionals.
COURSE OBJECTIVE:
The objective
of this course is to provide an understanding of the issues involved in
the management of computer-based information systems.
